A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident at the Turn-About Ranch in Escalante.
Read the whole thing. I find it noteworthy that many of these programs are in or run from Utah. It makes some sense that a very conservative state that’s understandably hostile to federal authority would be a haven for programs that might need some wiggle room with regulations. That being said, I don’t know much about Turn-About and its program.
I remain neutral on the whole subject. Some will argue that these programs cause these teenagers to crack, while others will say that they were a bit cracked in the first place. I just don’t know.
